It’s been three years since I heard the alarm go off
It’s been three years since I hid in-between the book shelves in the library
It’s been three years since I heard the news of two dead on campus
It’s been three years since I’ve heard the cries of young teenagers
It’s been three years since I’ve seen my spanish teacher
It’s been three years since I’ve seen my principle
It’s been three years since the news reports came out “another school shooting”
It’s been three years since the nightmares started
It’s been three years and nothing’s changed
How many school shootings does america need in order to open its eyes to gun control?
It’s been three years, since me and my high school were forever changed.
